    Hi Krystal,

Thank you for taking a moment to share your positive experience with the large Venus Cup. We're honored that you gave our cup a try after using a very popular brand.
I hope that the small cup is equally as easy and comfortable.
Please don't hesitate to contact us directly should you ever need support.
    Best wishes. Stay well.

*Pro User Tip: To avoid spotting, after inserting the Venus Cup, use a wet pH balanced wipe or damp cloth to clean the grip rings and stem of any excess blood.

Might be because I was born with straight pelvic. But this both sizes didn't work for me. Didn't open was so painful. You have to put this on when you don't have your period? Is uncomfortable to put and I have short nails and was so painful. If you have any problems like endo or similar please any size won't work it is painful. If you already suffer like not be able to have normal labor and is painful when with your partner trust me leave this for others to try. Stick with pads and periid underwear.

    Hello Linda,

I'm sorry that you did not have a pleasant experience while using either size of the Venus Cup. Menstrual Cups are not a "one size fits all" type of product, just as we all have different body types. Many users with Endometriosis have been successful in using the Venus Cup and find that it relieves them of heavy bleeding for several hours compared to tampons or pads. However, not everyone will find it equally easy or comfortable depending on their cervical height. Knowing the location of your cervix can help you find a cup that will be more suited to your anatomy.
I hope that you decide to try another cup in the future even if it's not the Venus Cup.

    Best wishes. Stay well.

I have used 4-5 different brand cups, but this is the most uncomfortable/difficult cup. It pushes on your bladder and the customer service is non-existent.Pros:-the suction is very strong-it's on the harder sideCons:It does not move as freely(?) as other cups to adjust to your cervix. I have found that some cups will find it's position (for maximum comfort) on its own once they're correctly inserted. But this one, you will have to move around to find the most comfortable position. (If used cups before, I hope this makes sense to you.)So this can lead to it pushing your bladder.-not for people with high cervixAnyway, I have reached out to the customer service, but they didn't respond. So if you're someone who is looking to buy a cup for the first time, who had high cervix, or who is looking for a cup that's more comfortable and easy to pull out, I would buy something else.
    Reply from Venus Cup Team:
    Hello ALLisWell,

I'm sorry to hear that you had such an unpleasant experience while using the Venus Cup Start Kit. I am also very sad that we failed to provide you with excellent customer service. I reply to every troubleshooting correspondence myself, and I don't recall receiving any inquiries about these specific issues through any of our media.
As you know, our bodies are all made differently. The same goes for each menstrual cup. As you have the starter kit, did the smaller, narrower size also press on your bladder? Usually, a smaller cup will relieve this issue.

Seal and suction are two things that differ from one person to the next. I'm sorry that the Venus Cup created such a strong suction for your anatomy.

Although we chose a medium firmness (comparable to the Diva Cup), everyone has a different degree of what soft and firm are. Some individuals will find the Venus Cup to be too soft, others find it too firm, and many will find it just right.

If a menstrual cup is positioned correctly, it should not move freely. That is a potential for leaks. Choosing the correct shape and size for your body will put a cup in the optimal position and will not need to adjust. However, a shorter cup will move up closer to your cervix because the vaginal canal will allow for it. For a user with a low cervix, a short cup will be more comfortable.
If you have a high cervix and a short cup, it may be difficult to remove, as well as allow your cervix to sit deep into the cup and take up the capacity.
A longer cup (like the large Venus Cup), will have the length, is not likely to move up too high, and can be reached easily.

Since you have tried 4-5 different brands, you know that menstrual cups are not a "one size fits all" type of product. I'm just sorry that the Venus Cup wasn't the one for you.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I hope that one of the other 4-5 cups works better for you.

    Best wishes.

I've been on the search for my "goldilocks cup" for a while now. First I tried the Diva cup. I was able to insert it correctly, it opened nicely and stayed in place. The caveat? I could NOT get this thing out of my body. I know there are learning curves with the cup and I gave this cup a couple cycles but I just couldn't do it anymore. I had to turn up the A/C and plan on a solid 15 minutes of squirming/panicking/sweating just trying to get this thing out of my body. This is the point I realized I have a high cervix and I should try a cup that a little longer/easier for me to remove. In comes the Lily cup. It was extra long and made of super soft squishy silicone. I had no problem inserting or removing, however, I found out with this cup I had a LOT of issues with leaking or ineffectiveness all together. I soon came to realize no matter how I folded it or inserted it, the cup was too soft and flexible for my body. Turns out my vaginal canal is also extremely narrow and this cup was never actually opening all the way to create proper suction! It was like my vagina was just crushing and squeezing it!This is the point I realized I need a cup that's long enough for my high cervix but ridgid enough to actually unfold like it should in my body. Enter the Venus cup. I fricken LOVE this thing. It's firm enough that it actually opens up inside of me and stays put and it has an extra long and grippy stem that makes removal way easier. I've found the perfect cup for me. I no longer feel insecure about wearing a cup, and this thing is sooo much more comfortable for me than tampons or past cups I've tried. I got the starter kit, because I wasn't sure exactly which size I should go with. I'm 32 with no kids and I tried both sizes and ended up using the smaller size.TLDR: Ladies, if you've got a high cervix and issues with the cup actually unfolding correctly, give this one a try. It could be the perfit fit for you!

    Hi Mel B,

Thank you for sharing all of the details about your cup journey as well as your experience with the Venus Cup Starter Kit.
Reading what you had to go through to remove one cup and having the next stay crushed, sounds frustrating! I can see why you would be on the search for another. We're honored that you took a chance with the Venus Cups.
We're happy to hear that the small Venus Cup was everything that you needed it to be and that you shared that even though it is the smaller and shorter cup, it still worked for your high cervix.
We hope that the larger Venus Cup will also be of some use to you should your periods become heavier.
It sounds like you have everything under control, but please don't forget that we're here if you need us.

Cheers to easy & comfortable period protection!

These are the cups of my dreams! They're comfortable and easy to insert/remove, and the large one holds so much! I have a heavy flow, and have never filled it! It's what freedom looks like. My diva cup, I would have to change it all the time, and this one, only twice a day! No more worrying about having to change it in public restrooms. I can't feel it either. Ladies, do yourself a solid.I can't believe I didn't order this years ago. I had no idea what I was missing. Diva is so much firmer. I thought that was a good thing until I tried these. They hold just as well, but insert and open so much easier and less painfully. Sometimes my Diva would leak from not opening all the way. Not often, but sometimes, even though I've used it for years. Not a problem with these, and they're so much softer. I thought the larger one might be harder to insert, but it's not. I just use a u-fold and it's perfect.

    Hello Kathleen,

I'm sorry to hear that your teen had some issues learning how to use either size of the Venus Cup. There is a learning curve and it will take some practice. If your teen is willing to try again, some water-based lubricant may be very helpful. The user manual was tailored with new users in mind, so have them browse through that as well. If all else fails, we're here for one on one support. Just contact us directly and we would be happy to work through any issues.
In the end, if your teen is not comfortable with using the Venus Cup, we understand. Menstrual cups are not a "one fits all" type of item and it just may not be the cup or menstrual product for them.

    Best wishes to you both.

I’m not a person to leave reviews once something arrives in the mail, I like to try it first so I can give the most honest review possible!-Simply put, Venus got it right.-I bought the combo pack and have used it two months now. I have a very heavy flow so the volume capacity was a plus for me. I do have to change it throughout the day but I can go longer periods (no pun intended) than I can with the Diva Cup which holds a fair amount.-I put side by side pictures of the Venus cups with my Diva Cup and Lunette. One of the things that I LOVE, is the purple color. I feel like my Lunette changed colors after one cycle and no matter what I did the color was forever changed, with the Venus cups being purple that’s an ugly thing of the past.-Two cups with one purchase? One for heavier days and one for lighter days? One to give to a friend? Whatever, it was like buying a mixed assortment box of tampons, I felt like I hit the jackpot!-I see some people saying that they can feel it, using this cup didn’t seem like much of a learning curve to me because I’ve been using menstrual cups for about a decade now, you just have to insert in a way that’s comfortable for you and adjust as needed. I’ve never noticed it was in at all. Also, you get a smaller cup with your purchase, figure that one out then move on up if you’re having problems. Removal is a bit tricky because the cups are shaped differently than most but then again not all menstrual cups are the same, the stem is easy to grip and long enough that you can pull down softly and break the suction.-I LOVE everything about these Venus cups:— They fit in the Pixie Cup UV sterilizer, both can fit in the Mr. A (that’s the brand, the steam sterilizers that I’ve seenon Amazon are generic and look the same with different brand names, so I can say with a 99% certainty OR MORE that at least one will fit all) sterilizer at once!— They have great capacity whether you’re on light or heavy days.— They’re comfortable.— The packaging is amazing, it made me want to try the cups even more: two cups, two bags, a cute box! I have never been so excited about my period.— Still no staining.— No leaks.-If you need a cup, go Venus, then tell your girlfriends so they can enjoy a great cup too!

First of all, I did not order the starter set, only the Large size. After trying another brand somewhat unsuccessfully, and consequently learning that I have a heavier flow, and needed much larger capacity, I found Venus cup. Comparing it on paper to Super Jennie, the Venus is a smidge larger in its measurements. I was happy to see the affordable price, knowing if it didn't work well, or if I never got fully comfortable with using a cup, I wouldn't lose too much money. As other reviewers have noted, the packaging, booklet, and bag are all high quality. It did not appear to be a cheap knockoff of anything. Upon first look, I immediately thought, "Whoa, that's kinda big." LOL. But then I noticed the pretty embossing at the base for grip; which is definitely needed and hugely appreciated. After getting placement correctly (mind you, I was a novice to begin with), I couldn't believe it was so comfortable, especially given the size. It was also better with its stem. (The other cup I had tried had more of a flat tab as a stem, but I frequently felt it and didn't care for it.)Fast forward to one year later, and I use the Venus exclusively. My takeaways for this cup are that it is totally possible to have a heavy flow and use a cup. On day 2, which is usually the heaviest, I still need to empty around 4 hours. BUT, I've not had a nighttime leaking issue with it. Also, using a cup has made periods much more tolerable. I love how I can go for hours upon hours with not having to worry (as the week progresses). I still use liners sometimes, just in case, but they are rarely needed. My next step is trying period underwear to bridge the gap.As any other cup user will testify, you get to know your body better, by having more accurate knowledge of your flow. Tampons and pads disguise the true amount. Also, wearing a cup doesn't dry you out painfully like a tampon does. And I for one, was surprised that there is no odor. So a year in, and my trusty Venus is showing some discoloration, but I have done Hydrogen Peroxide soaks before, and it's good as new.I am never going back to tampons because of the Venus cup.
    Reply from Venus Cup Team:
Happy 1 year anniversary of more pleasant periods! Thank you for sharing your experience over the year of using the Venus Cup exclusively. You don’t know how much that means to us! We’re grateful that you overlooked the first seemingly larger size and gave it try anyhow. We’re also pleased to learn that you found it easy and comfortable to use and wear. Although the length and diameter (of the large) is similar to other cups, the rounded base makes it seem larger. It is what allows our design to have the higher capacity without adding the extra length or width. And in turn, gives you a longer wear time.
It looks as though you have become a pro at using and caring for your Venus Cup, but if you ever have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We’ll still be here for you.
    Cheers to no more strings!

I totally don’t feel that this product is of bad quality or anything like that. But I do just have to speak to how it doesn’t fit my body. I think my cervix might sit a little high, and because of the wider base it gets stuck behind my pubic bone. I’m an experienced cup user and just wanted to try something that holds more than a Diva Cup. And while the larger cup definitely does fit more and is great for a heavy bleeder, I cannot get this thing out of my body to save my life. It also has no ribbing to grip onto at the bottom which makes it harder. I tried it for 3 cycles and now it’s time to give up.I only leave this review for those of you who might be worried about the same things. If you’re the type that needs to use their pointer finger and middle finger to retrieve your cup, this might be a tough one! But it is generally a great product.

I’ve been using the cup for about 3 to 4 periods now (maybe more) and as a woman with a heavier flow the large cup came threw! I definitely notice a difference with how much longer I can go between emptying my cup. The first 3 days of my cycle is the worst and heaviest! After that I can keep my cup in all day without a worry. I do still use a panty liner the first 3 days because I do leak sometimes. The only thing that gets annoying is that it’s a bigger cup so it’s a little painful inserting and removing it and sometimes if I don’t place it correctly I can feel it. The smaller cup I use on my lighter days and have no issues there. I totally recommend! Also now that I no longer use tampons my girl is a lot more wet when it come to arousal and sex. After having 3 babies I thought that was the reason I was dry. But turns out it was my tampons messing with my PH and normal fluids. I don’t know if anyone else has experience this. But I just thought I would mention it.

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. I'm happy to hear that the large Venus Cup can hold up to your heavy days. I understand that the amount of menstrual flow on those days can be uncertain, but if you're experiencing small leaks, try cleaning up any excess blood after the cup is inserted. Sometimes spotting is just caused by that and not overflow from the cup. That is unless you are overflowing by having a heavy flow. In that case, the only suggestion I can make is to empty the cup more often.
I'm also happy to hear that all of your natural lubricants are no longer being absorbed away by tampons. What a difference a cup can make!
It sounds like you're on your way to becoming a cup pro, but please don't hesitate to contact us directly should you need any support.

    Cheers to no more strings!

I wanted to use this product a few times before I gave it a review, and I must say after some troubleshooting I’m impressed. I purchased the kit, and although I’ve tried two other brands of menstrual cups in the past, this is by far my favorite. Details omitted, I’ll say that the capacity of the larger cup allows me to sleep through the night or get through the day without worry. The The smaller size is perfect for lighter days. If you’re on the go, you can carry them both & switch if necessary. I like the fact that you get two for the price of one and that you can have a perfectly sustainable no waste cycle. I’ve already suggested this product to my family members because it’s just that life changing.

Hi! My name is Shierly, I'm just using my husband's Amazon account. This is my first try using venus cup. For a first timer it takes time for me to put it on and taking it out is not bad. I followed the instructions to boil it for 5 minutes and rinse cold running water. It's good that I don't feel it once it's in. Hopefully I put it in right, that it won't leak. I'll update my review again later.

I thought I would need the large cup (I'm 50 and heavy flow). I ended up using the small one - the large did NOT fit. So great to have both sizes! This was my first try with these and, after research and many YouTube videos, I found it easy! Granted, I'm used to applicator-less tampons and am completely un-squeamish about my body and its "inconvenient" moments? I will probably move to something with a stiffer material, though. This one is pretty soft and hard for me to get unfurled.

    Hello Lycanthropic Linguist,

I appreciate that you took a few moments to share your experience with the Venus Cup Starter Kit. Thank you for pointing out that even though you are over a certain age in which most cup companies would suggest the large size, that the smaller size was actually the better option for you. I'm happy that at least one of them was comfortable.
Tip: If you're having some trouble getting the Venus Cup to open, try only inserting it halfway before releasing the fold. Sometimes the cervix gets it the way of the rim expanding.

The capacity of the large is great, a little softer than I expected but still opens ok. Unfortunately the smaller one is unfinished and has excess material so I won't be using it (as I'm not sure if it will be safe/ comfortable) but it seems a little firmer than the large one. I would definitely recommend the large Venus cup if you have a heavy flow and don't want to empty your cup every 3-4 hours . love it!

I was looking for a high capacity cup because my previous cup(diva cup size 1) would overflow at night and have random leaks during the day and I had been using that cup for a few years. I believe the diva cup just didn’t work with my anatomy.I bought the combo cup pack because I wasn’t sure that the large cup would work for me but it does! This cup is amazing! This is my first time using a period cup. I did browse a few before I decided on this one and overall I am very happy with it! I do not have anything to compare to but I would still highly recommend this cup! I got the both small and large cause I honestly wasn’t sure which size. I have been using the large cup and on my heaviest Period days I empty it 3-4 times but Part of that was also just checking to see how full it was. After using I can now tell when the cup is full. My first uses I did use a pad also with it because I honestly wasn’t sure if I had the cup in right. But now after using I don’t feel the need to use a pad with it. It sure is a learning curve but it’s 100% worth it to not have to use pads or tampons anymore!!! I highly recommend this cup!!

I've been using menstrual cups for years, but they were always too small on my heavy days. I had to empty my old cups (lunette and blossom) every 2 hours on heavy days, and even then they'd still leak. They worked perfectly fine on lighter days, so I sucked it up and also used a pad on heavy days to catch overflow. While this was workable for me, I really wanted to be pad free my entire period, so looked for some larger cups. The large Venus cup's capacity seemed promising, and it certainly delivered! When I first saw the cup, I was really intimidated by the size, because there's no way it would be comfortable right?! But actually, getting it in was no more difficult than my other cups, and I couldn't feel it at all once it was inside. I was able to leave it in OVERNIGHT on my heaviest days and only have light spotting! It had definitely overflowed (it was a mess taking it out lol), but the suction on this thing was so strong that it kept everything inside until I took it out. While the cup works extremely well, it isn't so ideal for me during the day because I CAN'T pee with it in...I'm not sure if its the firmness, size, or shape, but literally can't pee without taking it out. It's strange though, because I can't feel it applying pressure on my bladder or anywhere. Having to take it out to pee kind of defeats the purpose of a high capacity cup that I don't have to empty so often, so unfortunately this isn't the perfect cup for me.I'm still on the look out for that perfect cup, but in the meantime, the Venus cup does a great job and I'll continue to use it.
    Reply from Venus Cup Team:
    Hello Rachel,

Thank you for sharing some very great details about your experience with the Venus Cup Start Kit. I'm happy to hear that it was easy to use, comfortable to wear, and had the capacity that you were hoping for. However, not being able to use the toilet while the cup is in use is a big challenge!
To be honest, this is a new one for me. I have heard of users feeling the extra pressure and having a slower urine stream, but never someone who couldn't 'perform' at all. I totally understand how this might not be the cup for you!
If you're willing to try and can reach the large cup without a stem, turn it inside out and see if that doesn't give you relief. It's safe to use this way if it works, or at least will provide you with period protection until you find something that does.

I struggled with the Diva cup (both sizes) on and off for several years. The cups were personally too hard for me and would migrate so high up I had an extremely hard time removing the cup. Not to mention that the rims seemed to push on my bladder and no matter how small I'd try to squish the cup on removal, it was painful!Fast forward to quarantine and I decided to give menstrual cups a try again. I did a ton of research and while the quiz on the Put a Cup In It website suggested the Lily cup for my high cervix (which I didn't realize was a thing until I found that website!) the Lily cup sadly ended up being just too soft and getting a good seal every single time is difficult. (Though when I did manage to get a good seal the Lily cup was great!)Since the Lily cup experience was so-so for me I kept searching and that's when I found the Venus cup on Menstrual cup previews website and decided to try the starter kit as the price was perfect for both sizes.I love it!I haven't tried the small size as my flow this month was super heavy. At first I was leery by how big the large appears but once I get it in and into the right place it fits perfectly. Weird thing about it though is for every other cup I've tried I always use the 'Punch Down' fold. However, for me and the large Venus cup, the only fold that works is the 'C' fold. Go figure!? I don't always feel or hear the pop of the cup opening but this cup was easier for me to nudge back and forth and up and down and every time I gave it a chance it did open up properly and make a seal for me with not much extra effort or having to remove it and try again. Also I was leery about the big round base of it and expected it to push on my bladder or feel uncomfortable. It's not the case! It's also not difficult for me to grab the base of and break the seal. With my high cervix this cup, because of its size, doesn't travel so far up that it's difficult to get out. I don't trim the stem at all and can find the cup easily (REMEMBER NEVER PULL THE CUP OUT BY THE STEM! IT'S JUST TO HELP YOU FIND THE CUP TO REMOVE AND ALSO SHIFT THE CUP INTO PLACE AFTER INSERTING!)The rim is much softer on this cup than the Diva's and though the Venus is larger, it is not near as painful to remove as the whole cup itself is a bit softer in feel than the Diva (though nowhere near as soft as the Lily cup)I'm still learning this whole process but I have to say that 9 out of 10 times I have gotten the Venus large in, opened properly, gotten a good seal and had no leaks! It holds a lot and it great for us super heavy flow ladies.I'm very glad I tried this cup and I think it may definitely be the one!Every woman's body is different and what works for me may not work for you but if any of the issues I've mentioned or comparisons to other cups sound similar to you then this cup might be the ticket for you as well. Also as a side note, after purchasing the cup I got 2 separate emails from the Venus cup company through Amazon, one with a separate .pdf of the instruction manual (which by the way is the best I have seen for ANY cup! It's full of great info!) and the second email was just reaching out to make sure everything was okay and seeing if I was happy with the cup/had any questions. While most of the time I get a bit annoyed by this kind of email, I found this really nice of the company to do. Especially in making sure I had an extra manual! You rarely get that sort of extra treatment and I appreciated their effort.

Super easy to use once u get the hang of it. Have used mine for 3 cycles now and it's easy. Messy when it's full. The large doesnt even hold my flow for 6 hours overnight, but I'm extremely heavy after my last baby. Once that heaviest day is over, they work okay. Still have to empty it more often than I'd hoped, but still way better than 100 super plus tampons a day. However, I'm sorry that even the large still doesn't hold you over for the night. Your periods sound extremely heavy. If you're not breastfeeding, I would suggest asking your doctor if it would be safe for you to take some herbal supplements (even tea) that might help with excessive menstrual bleeding. I too suffered from extremely heavy periods and found some relief. I'm not a physician, so please ask one if it's something you think might benefit you.
Anyhow, I'm still happy that you were able to replace hundreds of thousand tampons with two Venus Cups. Please feel free to contact me directly now or in the future should you need any support. I'm here for you.

However, I would like to thank you for pointing out that just because they didn't work for you, doesn't mean that they won't work for the next person. We're all different and it's important for people to know that one size does not work for all. We appreciate that, and you, and hope that you find another cup that feels and works better for you even if it isn't the Venus Cup.

    Best wishes,

So, I've been using menstrual cups for almost a year now and was wanting a cup with a larger capacity. I got the dual pack and am currently using the smaller size and I love it. The cup isn't too firm and it isn't extremely soft, it opens very easy, insertion is easy, and I don't have to change it as often as my other brand cup.I was wanting a larger capacity cup and you really can't beat the Venus, it's cheaper and holds just as much as other higher capacity cups and I love that because these things can be very expensive. The material is soft and it's easy to grab, the design it perfect.I would highly recommend this to anyone.I did cut the stem off completely but I've done that to every cup I've had ( I tried the diva - too firm for me and I didn't like the shape, I use the Saalt Soft cups and love those but again - I wanted the higher capacity )

I have tried so many cup and they've all given me trouble. Sometime leakage or it very uncomfortable. This has been the best cup because it is larger and is able to hold more fluid. The smaller cup is perfect for my lighter days. The only thing I had to do was to cut off the stem. This made the cup comfortable for me and since it has the grip on the bottom of the cup, I am able to grab it with ease. Not every cup is design for everyone but this one was the best for me!

I LOOOOOVVVVVEEEE these cups! I waited before I did my review. I have used these cups for 3 months now and love them!...So Yes!...My Own Godilocks Cups!...At least for me it is!...The right capacity....not too big...not too small...not to too long...and it opens!...EASILY!...I mostly use the larger cup because I need a larger capacity due to my heavy flow! On my heaviest days which is day 2,3 and sometimes 4, of my 5 day period, I need a very large capacity cup! I can fill a cup about every 2 to 3 hours on my heaviest days...on other cups I've tried like the Eva Cup, Diva Cup, and Femmy Cup. I tried the Super Jenny and the capacity was very good, but I had a hard time with opening the rim and would experience leaks...a lot...mostly on my heaviest days!.. UGH!...Actually!...All the other cups I've tried that I mentioned above...I would have the same issue...fighting with the rim to open properly!....The Venus Cup...for me and my body...is the best underrated, affordable cup going around! It opens easily...it has a ring in the middle to topof the cup to help open properly. The grip rings are not intrusive. I have to cut all stems on my cups...so I can't review that. The smaller cup...I didn't even think I was going to use...at all..BUT...I notice that on my really light days sometimes my cervix moves lower and the larger cup is a little uncomfortable...so I find myself using both to my suprise!...I love the packaging...and It comes with not 1...but 2 bags to place your cups in!...I also comes with very detailed instructions for everthing from insertion...to storage...to cleaning properly!...All in a colorful booklet...with diagrams to help!...I understand that these cups will not be for every BODY...but I have been using cups for over 5 years and happen to have a medium length cervix that sometimes moves low on some days...and was beginning to think that leaking cups was just going to be a thing I had to just deal with....I really hope this helps someone.

I love these cups. I’m not a new user to menstrual cups, I had other cups before.Venus Menstrual Cups are soft and belled shaped cups. Tricky to open at first but I got the hang of them. Very comfortable to wear, you can’t feel the cup and it’s a good thing. No cramping involved. The suction is alright to deal with. Stem pokes out me because I have a med/low cervix, changes throughout menstrual cycle and I can’t feel the stem. Win win situation for me at least.I did have a leaking problem and was my fault thinking my period wasn’t going to be heavy on the second day. I also had trouble a few times with this cup like I said earlier.TMI: When you’re pooping too hard just be careful, you may have to adjust it or might slip out if you don’t.I do recommend you getting them to try them out yourselves.

Really wanted to love. Kept leaking and had trouble opening. Repositioned and tried different insertion techniques but it was a no go. It was like when it in an uncomfortable position, it semi worked but still leaked. When it was in a better position, it leaked even worse.
    Reply from Venus Cup Team:
    Hi MzMaxxy,

I’m sorry that the Venus Cup didn’t work out for you. It can take some practice whether it’s your first time using a cup or it’s a new cup in your collection. I know that you tried different insertion techniques but I’m going to share some tips that you might have missed. Maybe something below will help.

    - The cervix is not normally located straight up. Instead, insert the folded cup down and back towards your tailbone while in a squat on the ground. This will help put the cup in a better position under or around your cervix.
    - If the cup will not open, try wiggling it down a bit and then use a finger to push it back into place. Often when a cup is inserted completely, the cervix is in the way of letting the rim expand. Wiggling it down will let the cervix correct itself.
    - You can also insert the cup half way, let it expand (below the cervix) and then use a finger to push it up into place.

If you’re spotting after the cup is inserted, try wiping the base and stem with a wet cloth to remove any excess blood. It’s common that there is some blood on the outside of the cup that finds its way out eventually, and inconveniently.

I hope that these tips help with the Venus Cup or any cup. Please don’t hesitate to contact us directly should you ever need support. We’re always here to help.

We hope that after some time, the stem will become easier to reach for removal. In the meantime, you may want to squat in the tub for easier access.

Thank you for sharing your (mostly) positive experience with the Venus Cup Starter Kit. I'm happy to hear that you were able to grasp the concept of use fairly quickly and that it kept you protected for 12 hours.
However, I'm sorry that the stem was not long enough for easy removal. I would suggest squatting or bearing down with your muscles to bring the cup lower for an easier reach. If you still find that the small is too short, the larger size might be a bit easier to maneuver.
    Good health, stay well.

I got the two pack, it came with small and large, two bags, and probably one of the most descriptive user manuals I’ve ever seen. Which is a good thing for new people!!!! So I did a dry run with this cup because I won’t have a cycle for another month, and I’ll edit this later. Any who, I have 3 cups prior to this one. My main cup that I always go to is my diva cup size 1. I got the large Venus because it’s about the same length as the diva cup, but holds more due to the shape (which I can’t wait to see how long it takes to fill on those heavy days!) for once I didn’t have to remove the stem on this cup! It’s short but very bendy and doesn’t poke me like all my other cups do. It opens with ease when inserted (I use the punch down fold with all my cups.) when inside, it doesn’t push on my bladder like my saalt regular cup. And removal was easier than my diva cup (I think it felt better because it’s smooth and rounded unlike my diva cup which is cone shaped and pointy.) so far I’m sold! Perfect firmness (same firmness as a diva cup which is a level 3), opens very easily, comfortable stem that I don’t have to remove, removal is less irritating due to how smooth it is, and better capacity due to its shape. So if you like diva cups, then this is definitely an upgrade for you, or if you found the diva cup was a tad too long, the small will be a nice option due to it being a few mm shorter. (The size small is also a nice starter size. Little smaller in length and width. Smaller than my size 1 diva cup. But a good starter size, not to big and not to small. I’ll be giving it to my friend because I wanted the big one, and for a few extra dollars I got both. )(Edit): so I finally got to use this on my cycle and I’m in love. My heavy days don’t feel heavy with this cup because it holds so much. My diva would fill up after about 3 hours on a heavy day. Out of fear I checked at a 4 hour mark on my heavy day, and it didn’t even reach the half way mark. I haven’t had leaks At all. And removal is so much nicer feeling on my body Due to the round soft base (my diva cup made me sore or it jabbed me during removal. ) I’m pretty sure I have a new Goldilocks. I still love my diva cup.... but I think I love my Venus large more <3

Using this cup has completely changed my periods for the better! I have super heavy periods where I have to wear pads and tampons together and sometimes change every 20 minutes. I am always afraid there is going to be an embarrassing accident. This cup took some getting used to just because I’ve never used one before, but it was so much easier than I was expecting. You definitely get pretty aquatinted with yourself. I don’t love the smaller one just because I did have some leaking, but the larger one was perfect! No leaking. It was uncomfortable at first but I figured out that I didn’t have it in far enough. Once you get past the learning curve it’s great. I was also concerned about not being able to get it out, but there is no issue there either.

Everything Needed for a Happy Period! With the purchase of the Venus Cup Starter Kit, you will receive both the small and large Venus Cup, a storage pouch for each cup, and a user manual packed with information to help you along your menstrual cup journey.

The Venus Cup collects the menstrual flow instead of absorbing without interfering with the body’s pH balance or natural processes.

The Venus Cup is made of 100% Medical Grade Silicone and uses Medical Grade Colorants.

The Venus Cup is manufactured in the USA and in an FDA registered facility.

  • Locating and Measuring your cervix is one of the best ways to figure out which size will be both easy and comfortable – click here for more details!
  • You may also choose a size based on your menstrual flow needs.

  • Yes. When the Venus Cup is placed correctly, it is undetectable by you or anyone else. If the stem is visible from the outside of the body, it can be trimmed down for comfort.
  • Since the Venus Cup is reusable, you will not need to carry extra menstrual protection products.
  • The Venus Cup holds much more than a tampon and you may not need to empty it as often.

It should be! If you have any discomfort with it at any time, you may need to try different folding techniques, using a water-based personal lubricant, or changing the size.

The Venus Cup is great for a light flow, heavy flow, very heavy flow, when you’re expecting your period but not bleeding yet, or even just to stay dry from discharge!

The Venus Cup won’t have the familiar odor as a rotting disposable tampon or pad. Depending on your body and blood, the Venus Cup may periodically have an odor more like the smell of “iron”. This can be resolved – check this article for more info.

Like with all menstrual cups, there is a chance of leaking. This is a very common problem among new users. It may take time and practice getting things just right, but there are some things that can be done to minimize this from happening – click here for more info!

Everything under the moon and sun! The Venus Cup will allow you the freedom to carry on with your daily activities whether it be school, work, sports, or sleeping!
