They were all c-sections so maybe that's why. But they are super comfortable without any leaking as long as it seals correctly. I would leak through super plus tampons by the hour, and I can wear this all night with no leaks!

I've been using the Saalt Soft for a few years now. It was my first and only cup and I was very happy with it. But my menstrual cycle has changed over the past few months and now I have 2 extremely heavy days every single cycle. Even when I emptied my Saalt right before bed, I would still find a small leak in the morning. So, I decided I needed to find a cup with a higher capacity for those days.I finally stumbled upon this one and it is exactly what I needed. I went through a whole cycle without any issues and no leaks! Finally. It was a bit difficult for me to use the first time because it's much firmer compared to the Saalt Soft (which makes complete sense), but it's super comfortable when placed correctly. Highly recommend it if you struggle with leaks due to heavy flows.

Pros: This is the most helpful invention yet!!! I just read the entire instruction manual first and did everything by the book. I did the 7 fold insertion technique and once I pushed it all the way in since my cervix is high up, I simply squeezed the cup with my thumb and index finger until I heard the suction capability pop. And I don't feel a thing. I laid down for 2 hours and guess what, no spills. Peed and not even a single drop of blood came out. When it was time to check the results, I simply pushed like I was giving birth and inserted my fingers and pulled it out by the stem. No spills, inside the cup, with about a third of it filled. I highly recommend!!! It's easy, better then a tampon and with proper care (scentless soap, cup steamer) it's quality should be good up to 10 years. I am so happy to be a woman every day of every month 😁😁😁😁Cons: It's not really a huge bother to me but the instruction manual says that of you squat using your pelvic muscles to push it out that it will just come out. But for me I had to sit on the toilet, insert my fingers and push and pull to get it out. No worries though, the female anatomy is an amazing thing! it also says that you're not supposed to pull on the stem to get it out but instead reach in and use your thumb and index fingers to squeeze the base of the cup while pulling out out. My cervix is so high up that I had to pull the stem and push it out. However I am still 100% satisfied with this product. Best thing I've brought this year

Low cervix/heavy flow peeps read on!Once you figure out how to insert it properly in a way that suits your body, this thing will change everything. I purchased the large size because I have a very heavy flow, but I also have a very low cervix. It still works perfectly after several periods of trial and error - you can actually insert it UNDER your cervix if it's low, leading to leaks and discomfort. This might be a factor in a lot of negative reviews and I too nearly thought this wasn't for me, but the financial and environmental impacts of making something reusable work kept me trying. Not to mention the siren song of (relatively) mess free periods.I fixed this by inserting the cup, letting it expand, then pulling it halfway out and repositioning. When I do this, I'm 100% leak free and I can't feel the cup at all. I still use this in conjunction with period underwear most of the time just in case, but I kid you not, I can wear white in my heaviest days and not worry. I don't know how I lived without my Venus cup. Once you learn your body this is rock solid. Goodbye spending $$$ every month on super maximum extra heavy pads and tampons, goodbye throwing them all out, goodbye to The Period Sleep Position so you won't leak overnight, and goodbye to needing to wear period approved clothes.TLDR:Buy the cup + figure out your body + optionally buy period underwear = profit, literally, because you're not paying for single use products anymore and you get leak free periods now. 👍

We were planning on spending the weekend on a friend's boat when my period came. The two heaviest days of my cycle were to be the two days spent on a lake. I knew my current cup wasn't going to fare well (25mL capacity), so after doing much research, I ordered this one. This cup has the largest capacity on Amazon. It saved the weekend for me. Instead of having to empty it every 1-2 hours like I do with my smaller cup, I went 4+ hours with no issues! I only had to go to the dock once each day (otherwise I would've need to go back three times per day).I love the large capacity. It is a little more challenging to insert than my Pixie cup. I've been a cup-user for 3+ years, so it wasn't an issue. I will likely only use this on heavy days as I think it would be challenging to insert on a light day (though, lube could make it easier). It is also a less flexible silicone than what I'm used to, but again, it wasn't an issue. It is larger than my other one, but it doesn't look much bigger even though it can hold 20mL more. It's slightly uncomfortable during insertion, but I can't feel it when it's in. I feel like it is well-worth the price. I'm very thankful for this product!

Ive used the diva cup in the past and stopped using it because i lost interest in it after a while but decided to give it a try again , it's affordable on the long run and i got this one because if was a bigger cup and i thought would hold on more fluid throughout the day and ive not been disappointed this cup is amazing ive only used the larger cup so far maybe on the light days ill give the small one a try. The shape is good i can insert it with no problem and take it out with no issues either I love it im not going back to tampons again and ive had no leaks, i used a pad just in case but not even a spot so far! I Read the little instructions booklet it came with and it gave me all the tips to make it work perfect. The packaging was in perfect conditions as well! Thank you so much!! This is great for any woman no more frustrations when I get my period I can go hours without emptying amazing!!!

I really liked this cup. The first time I ever tried a cup it was pre-baby and I got scared because it was hard to get out. The second time was post-baby The one I tried I think it was to long because it hung out of my body plus it was uncomfortable. This time when I tried the Venus cup I loved it! It was easy to insert and remove and it was so comfortable, I couldn't even tell it was in. I bought the double pack because I wasn't sure which one would work for me, but the only reason I feel that the large would work for someone is if they have a high cervix throughout their period or someone who has a very heavy flow. The only con for me is I went swimming and water got in the cup. If you are someone that is new to cups or want to try a cup I would suggest to do a lot of research don't rush into it. I watched period nirvana and put a cup in it they have the best information on youtube. I also watched its kelli she mainly does reviews. Also if the first cup you try doesn't work try a different one I tried a different shaped one and it worked a lot better for me. Also it helps to know your cervix height during your period, I know it sounds nasty to check that while on your period but it definitely helps to know that when choosing a cup. Mainly because if you have a low cervix but you use a cup that is meant for a high cervix it can be very uncomfortable and you won't have a good experience with that cup. I hope this helps anyone wanting to try a cup, I almost forgot if it's hard to remove the cup what I do is squat in the shower and grab the bottom (not the stem) and push the bottom of the cup together to break the seal and push like I'm taking a poop.

I have tried 5 different cups over the years. I have tried and CRIED and tried and CRIED because of that stupid Diva cup!! Because it somehow works SOOO perfectly for everyone else - there MUST be something wrong with my body, right? WRONG! Lol Of course we're all built differently. Diva worked first day but day 2 and 3 - forget it. It leaked. And it leaked. And it would be empty and still leak. It would leak before I even walked out of the bathroom and yes I did the tilt and the pull and the twist which is virtually impossible when cup designers design the grooves to go WITH the fingers (instead of AGAINST the fingers) so that there is absolutely NO GRIP! *sigh* Anyway, this cup here - grooves you can grip so you can twist are there! PLUS! It isn't CONE SHAPED!! So when inserted, there is no space left at the bottom of the cup where blood can be left (with cone-shaped cups you would literally have to ream your vag with cotton swabs to clear what blood has drained during insertion) to later stain your clothes. It feels much more comfortable. Diva says tilt the cup down toward the tailbone. Don't. The edge of the cup would always rest on my cervix and cause cramping. This one goes in comfortable and naturally, fitting all crevices. TOP TO BOTTOM! I was so traumatized by the Diva that with this Venus cup, the first period using it, I was constantly always jumping up to check jumping up to check! Nothing leaked. Not. Once. So this cup is the first cup ever to protect me from day one through the end of my periods without a single problem. I have no Cons for it. Now, I am crying out of happiness!

I purchased the large. I have been using a menstrual cup for about 8 years now and have loved them compared to tampons/pads etc. I have heavy periods and I am a nurse so I don't have time to take many bathroom breaks through the work day. So capacity was the reason I chose this cup. But upon seeing it in person, I was concerned that this would be uncomfortable or difficult to insert. To my surprise, it was neither uncomfortable or hard to insert. The cup itself is more rigid than other cups I've used so it opens easily after inserion and I don't even feel it. The best part is being able to go to sleep and sleep a solid night without waking up to empty it. Other cups I have used, required me to get up once or twice through the night and empty them because my periods, although brief are extremely heavy. I wish I'd have discovered this cup first because it would have saved me a lot of sleep and a few pairs of scrub pants!! I am so glad I found this cup, it releives so much anxiety because I don't have to worry about leaks/overflow. Also of note, with other cups, I had always used a panty liner and because the seal is so good with this cup, I no longer need to do so. I finally feel free from my heavy periods. Get this cup!!

Ok so I'm speaking to those who are super heavy like I am. It works better than the disk, it will hold for 12 hours without leaks, it's not messy when removing, it's not uncomfortable, and it protected overnight. I'm new at this so I still wore a pad the whole time but I didn't have any leaks at all. I'm impressed. I'm so heavy I had to use Ultra Super tampons and Overnight Pads and I would have to change very frequently. This cup is great for all those who have a heavy flow!

I love this cup the color is cute so is the little bag it comes with I absolutely love menstrual cups in general because they are so eco friendly and I really wish I started using them when I was younger! But there is a learning curve around something new with practice and much patience it does get easier over time!

I've used a cup EXCLUSIVELY for the last 9 years. Started with a diva then a Luna. I like both but they just didnt have the overnight capacity for me. This one does. It is large and that took a few times to get it in right but now it's easy. This is my 3rd cycle with it and I'm very pleased.

Sorry if TMI but I had to review this for any other women thinking about it, and I don't normally leave reviews on anything. If you have a heavy flow or high cervix or both like me, I think you will love this cup!This is my very FIRST menstrual cup ever! I have looked at them for a long time, wondering which one to get. Recently just got off the depo shot and haven't had a real period other than a little spotting for a little over 6 months and now they are back... it was hard keeping up with the super plus tampons and the extra long overnight pads so I don't bleed through my clothes...But now, I don't have to worry about ANY leaking, its super comfortable compared to the big tampons, kinda forget its there. I love this cup! Its such a game changer, no more big bulky pads, no more worrying about any red accidents. It was so easy to insert and place up inside, I got it instantly on the first try after quickly skimming the instructions. I just use the "C" fold or taco fold. I was able to sleep in it and wake up in the morning, dump it, wash it with soap/water, and put it back in. Anyways A+ product thank you for changing my menstrual cycle to an easier less stressful time. No more buying tampons and pads!

I bought the starter kit for my girlfriend and I. I kept the large one for myself and gave the smaller one to her. This is the best cup I've tried. I have a very high cervix, which would lead to my cups getting lost or turning onto its edge. This cup is tall enough for me to still get a grip on it when I need to. It also carries a large amount of blood, so I don't have to worry about hearing that horrifying squelching noise that signals it's time to empty the cup. Also, it barely leaks! Even when it does, it's a pretty minimal amount. I honestly forget that I have it in and have gone a full day and night without emptying it out. Oops! As for the little one, my girlfriend really likes it :)

The first day and a half of my period is a nightmare to control. I used to have to use the super plus tampons and I had to change them every 1-2 hours or wear back up leak protection. A few years ago, I transitioned to a menstrual cup, which was a big improvement, but I still had to empty it about every 2 hours during the heaviest part of my cycle. The stem on my old cup broke, so I ordered this one and Yes! This is the product I've been waiting for! It has the capacity to handle heavy flow, but is still comfortable for lighter flow as well. It creates a good deal and is easy to use. Excellent product, I highly recommend!

I purchased both sizes of the Venus cup because I lost my size 2 Lunette menstrual cup. These are definitely more affordable than the Diva cup and Lunette. It's a thinner silicone. It's easier for you to fold into whatever shape you want. I struggle with getting it to open once inside because of the firmness. I give it a few turns while slightly moving it up or down in order to make sure it's open all the easy.The suction is great. I've barely had any leaks. The biggest difference is the size of the cups. Venus sizes are bigger than other brands sizes. This is great if you have heavy periods like me. I can sleep through the night with very minimal leakage. I used to have to sleep with a nighttime pad and wake up in the middle of the night before.The additional cup length of the large Venus makes it easy for me to potentially put it too high or touch my cervix which is painful.I'm glad I purchased them and I will continue to use them.

If you still have issues with light spotting, use a pH balanced wipe, damp cloth, or even a clean, wet finger (while in the shower) to get rid of any excess blood. Commonly, the presence of excess blood present on the stem or cup’s base can cause spotting. Although it may not be the cup leak, it is still an irritation that can be avoided with a quick clean-up.

If you want to use less or no tampons (to be more natural, save money, feel healthier or for whatever reason), I definitely recommend trying this amazing invention! I tried this because when my period is heavy, I have to change my 'super plus' (really, really big tampons) literally every hour. That means every month, there are at least a couple nights where I get really bad sleep. This Cup completely alleviates that problem for me as it can stay inside for up to 12 hours. I am sleeping through the night now, every day of the month!!! Not to mention the money I'm saving by not buying so many tampons + my son and husband aren't complaining when I don't adequately cover up my used tampons in the trash can! However, if you are squeamish, don't like getting your hands dirty (literally), struggle with your intimate parts (you will pretty much have your hand up in there) or don't have access to a clean bathroom or place to wash your hands (you should wash your hands before removing and re-inserting), this is not a good option for you. Basically, if you're going through hundreds of tampons, changing them every hour, or want to save money, give this a try!! I'm glad I did!

This is my first period using this high capacity cup, and let me just say it does it's job beautifully. Anybody else have that Bananarama song stuck in their head? I'm an experienced cup user, having tried different brands over a period (no pun intended) of over 9 years. Inserting it was different from the usual. The bottom of this cup is very soft! The rim is where the firmness is. I'd say it is slightly less firm than the Saalt cup. When inserting, I have to make sure the cup stays folded before I jostle it to release and seal. It cannot exactly be pushed up from the bottom like with other cups. The stem comes in handy. I usually cut off my cup stems but with the Venus cup it seems more practical to leave it intact. It does not bother me. My periods got very heavy these past 2 years. This cup keeps me covered on my heaviest 2 days and overnight. Paired with a Bambody period panty this thing is unstoppable! I only have to change maybe 4 times on my heaviest days and 3 or 2x on my medium flow days. This cup does not feel uncomfortable when going number 2. The small Venus cup holds 29ml, compared to my small Saalt holding 25ml. Removal is slightly more tricky. Because the cup is long, breaking the seal takes a little more effort, but nothing too crazy. You just have to reach up further. This cup is very comfortable, very mindfully designed (all the measurements, labels and logo are on the inside of the cup, the rim is smooth, and the grip is a beautiful floral motif rather than boring rings. It gives the cup practicality and beauty. Pros: Comfortable, Practical, Easy to use, Pretty shape and color, High capacity, Affordable. Cons: One day learning curve, Very soft bottom, Makes a full bladder feel more urgent? (Or is it just me?) Disclaimer: (I purchased the purple and aqua storage baggie separately, from the Saalt website actually, because I did not like the baggie the Venus cup came with)

If you remember Bananarama, I’m willing to guess that your body may be in a pre-menopausal phase (the mid-’30s or later) which can account for the change in the flow amount. (Cruel Summer is still one of my favs)

If the large is making you feel like you need to use the restroom more frequently, it may be slightly too firm for your anatomy. We suggest turning the cup inside out to relieve the extra pressure ONLY if you are comfortable using the cup without a stem.

Although you have been using menstrual cups for many years, don’t hesitate to contact us directly for one on one support.

However, the thinner design makes it a little more difficult to ensure it's in far enough yo get proper fit. Just an adjustment phase I'm sure.

I've been a cup user for more than 5 years and this is my second cycle using these cups and I am so impressed!!!! It opens easy when inserting .not too firm, not too soft. I usually trim the 'handle' of other cups but I don't need to with these ones. So comfortable!
